SEREN Cosmetic Dermatology is a patient centered dermatology practice dedicated to truly personalized skincare. We offer expert medical, cosmetic, and procedural\ dermatology treatments tailored to your unique skin needs.

“Seren” means “star” in Welsh and is also inspired by the Latin serenus, meaning “clear” or “tranquil.” It reflects our philosophy—helping your skin shine with clarity, health, and balance. The name is also a nod to Dr. González’s middle name, Esther, which comes from the Persian word meaning “star,” symbolizing brightness, guidance, or hope.

We are conveniently located inside Plaza Las Américas, at La Torre, Office 409.

Dr. Noelani González is the only dermatologist in Puerto Rico who has completed a fellowship in cosmetic dermatology accredited by the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS). A fellowship in cosmetic dermatology is an advanced, specialized training program that goes beyond standard dermatology residency. Dr. González has undergone extensive additional training in cosmetic procedures, including Botox, dermal fillers, laser treatments, microneedling, and advanced skin rejuvenation techniques. This ensures that patients receive the highest level of expertise, safety, and precision. Additionally, Dr. González serves as a national trainer, educating and mentoring other physicians in the latest cosmetic dermatology techniques and practices, reflecting her recognized expertise and commitment to excellence in the field.

Most injectables treatments like Botox and dermal fillers are not recommended during pregnancy as a precaution. If you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant, we can discuss alternative options to maintain your skin health safely.

Our practice provides advanced laser treatments using state-of-the-art technologies, including the Moxi, Cutera Excel V, and Genesis lasers:

• Moxi: offers gentle yet effective skin rejuvenation, targeting fine lines, uneven skin tone, pigmentation, and texture, making it ideal for maintaining youthful, glowing skin.
• Excel V: effectively treats redness, vascular lesions, rosacea, broken blood vessels, and sun-damaged skin.

Downtime depends on the laser treatment. Laser pigmentation treatments typically have little to no downtime, though mild redness may occur.

Yes! Regular skin checks are essential for early detection and prevention of skin cancer. We recommend annual screenings, but if you notice any changes in your skin, don’t wait—schedule an appointment as soon as possible.

Absolutely. We offer a variety of advanced acne and rosacea treatments, from prescription medications to in-office procedures like chemical peels and laser therapy.

Some skincare treatments and products are not recommended during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. However, we offer pregnancy-safe options, including specific facials, gentle chemical peels, and customized skincare regimens. Our dermatologists will guide you in choosing treatments that are both effective and safe for you and your baby.
